4-STRING BANJO patterned after detail from
"Liberty Displaying the Arts and Sciences" painting (1792)

This banjo is available with a straight flat peg head, like the banjo picture in the 1792 painting, or a with a carved peg box. Banjos like this are pictured in several early 19th century illustrations and a ca. 1830 folk painting of African American musicians.
